Kevin’s background is as diverse as his interests. With a BA in Spanish, an MA in communication, and soon to be an MFA in digital art, he has been able to develop a niche utilizing his interdisciplinary background to apply traditional and nontraditional methods of verbal and visual storytelling to interactive media.
As a writer, narrative designer, and community manager at the independent game studio, Digital Roar Studios, Kevin has spent the last year and a half developing the Ascension intellectual property. The first installment of the Ascension brand is scheduled for release later this year.
In addition to his work at Digital Roar, Kevin loves producing creative content across media. He has received multiple Kennedy Center awards including winning the Kennedy Center Region IV National Ten Minute Play Award in 2009. His most recent digital short film was an official selection for the Charleston International Film Festival in 2010 and was recognized by Clemson University’s Science as Art program in 2009. In 2007, he co-developed an educational serious game that was distributed and used in SC, NC, and GA. Kevin has also done volunteer work for WordBRIDGE, an internationally known playwrighting laboratory, as their videographer, film editor, and digital artist. His latest full-length play, based in the Ascension
universe, is currently under consideration for development at WordBRIDGE in the summer of 2010.
