Michelle is a founding Principal in the design firm Echo Visualization, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia where her practice centers on interaction design and user experience for consumer, medical and industrial products, as well as software, websites and rich Internet applications. Throughout her award-winning design career, she has worked with clients like Hewlett-Packard, Raymond Corporation, MAKO Surgical Corporation, Cooper Industries, Coca-Cola, Electrolux, Nike, and Siemens to extend their brand and build meaningful customer experiences.
Since 1993, Michelle has been active with the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) where she serves on the Board of Directors as the Immediate Past-President. In November 2009, she was elected to a two-year term on the Executive Board of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid).
In 2005, Michelle was named one of the “10 Innovators You Should Know” by Deep magazine and in 2006, she was a Women in Technology (WIT) Atlanta chapter nominee for the “Woman of the Year in Technology” award in the Small/Medium Enterprise category. Additionally, she serves on the editorial advisory board for Interactions magazine. She is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Industrial Design at the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Visiting Professor at Jiagnan University in Wuxi, China.
Michelle is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology holding a Bachelor’s degree in industrial design and a Master‘s degree focused on interaction design.
